![]() You won't find, for example, any kinds of tools for swapping out eye or mouth aminations quickly, so you'll end up doing a lot of manual keyframing, and probably end up nesting things multiple composite shots deep to get good management of assets like eyes. Like says the puppet tool is another good tool for 2D animation, but, for Express that's a paid is also right while Hitfilm CAN do 2D character animation, you have to approach things in a pretty brute force manner. The Aiden Roberts tutorial is another good one. I actually have a tutorial with examples on the Hitfilm University Youtube Channel, and, if you were to scour the playlists section of that channel you'll find tutorials from others. It is possible to do 2D animated characters in Hitfilm Express in the "paper doll" or "limited animation" styles.
